The decision to commission Michael Graves Architecture and Design for the interiors at BLVD Haley — from the lobby and social club to the fitness center, library, rooftop pool deck and individual apartment finishes — signals the ambition behind what might otherwise read as another luxury apartment tower in a crowded Northern Virginia market. The New Jersey firm, known for design rooted in human experience and contemporary luxury, brought the same sensibility to BLVD Haley’s interiors as it did to the adjacent JW Marriott Reston Station, ensuring a cohesion of design character across the broader Reston Row district.
The building itself takes an unconventional form. Rather than a single tower, BLVD Haley is configured as an L-shaped complex: a 28-story north/south tower paired with a 16-story east/west tower, creating a building that offers meaningfully different views, orientations and unit experiences across its approximately 420 residences. Designed by HKS and built by Davis Construction, the LEED Silver-certified project delivers studios through three-bedroom apartments with quartz countertops, custom cabinetry, floor-to-ceiling windows and spa-inspired baths. Community amenities include a rooftop pool, golf simulator, fitness center and dog park.

Commissioned work by Italian artist Paola Pivi in BLVD Haley’s lobby — fluffy blue, pink and orange bears dangling from the ceiling — adds an unexpected dimension to the project and extends Reston Row’s commitment to public art and cultural placemaking.
