Within four years of founding Commonwealth Contractors, in 2025 Roark was recognized as the top young professional in the state by the Home Builders Association of Virginia. He also serves as president of the Blue Ridge Home Builders Association and sits on the boards of the Albemarle Charlottesville Historical Society and the Local Energy Alliance Program.
KEY TO MY SUCCESS: A simple ethic: Govern by serving. I believe true leadership means putting clients, employees and community first — leading with clarity, discipline and integrity so that others can thrive.
WHERE I SEE MYSELF IN 10 YEARS: I see myself creating jobs through a stable construction firm and affiliate companies, while developing land and preservation projects. I aim to lead sustainable neighborhoods that foster community among neighbors and contribute to long-term planning for affordable housing, education and workforce in Central Virginia. I also plan to serve in greater leadership roles at the local and state level to strengthen housing, preservation and workforce development.
