Richmond-headquartered real estate investment company Medalist Diversified REIT Inc. recently paid almost $16.5 million to acquire two properties in South Carolina, including the Clemson Best Western and the Brookfield Center in Greenville.
Medalist purchased the 148-room hotel in Clemson, less than a mile from Clemson University, for $9.75 million in late September. The 66,000-square-foot Brookfield Center, a flex-industrial property occupied by trampoline park developer Gravitopia, was purchased for $6.7 million in early October.
Medalist owns and manages commercial real estate in the mid-Atlantic and Southeastern regions of the United States.
