Leidos wins potential $717M Air Force task order

Fortune 500 defense contractor Leidos has received a U.S. Air Force contract worth up to $717 million to continue providing intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations support, the Reston-based company announced Tuesday.

The task order from the U.S. Air Force’s Air Combat Command‘s Acquisition Management and Integration Center includes a one-year base period with four one-year options. Work will be performed at more than 35 locations across the U.S. and overseas. Leidos has served as the prime contractor since 2019.

“Since 2019, our team has worked alongside Air Combat Command to provide mission-focused [intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance] support, training and analysis,” Jason McCarthy, Leidos’ senior vice president of airborne and mission solutions, said in a statement. “This next phase of work builds on that foundation with the insight and operational expertise needed to help airmen assess threats, prepare for missions and support operations around the world.”

With the task order, Leidos will provide subject matter expertise; intelligence analysis; threat mitigation; intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations support; training; and mission support services for ACC headquarters, subordinate numbered Air Forces, centers and wings.

The U.S. Air Force’s Air Combat Command is headquartered at Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Hampton.

Leidos employs more than 50,000 people globally and reported $17.17 billion in revenue for fiscal 2025.
