Fairfax-based Ellucian, a technology company serving educational institutions, has acquired CampusIT, a Irish software company that provides student management systems.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Ellucian said in a news release that the acquisition makes it one of the largest providers of technology solutions to educational institutions in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
CampusIT, based in Dublin, builds cloud-based student management and recruitment systems for educational institutions.
“The flexible design of CampusIT’s solutions accelerates our ability to respond to the evolving and varying needs of our global community,” Mark Jones, Ellucian’s chief product officer, said in a statement. “By leveraging the experience of its employees and its innovative customer software, we are strengthening our ability to support the growing number of non-traditional and non-degree educational programs.”
