Based at Virginia Tech‘s Newport News hub, Tuttle is responsible for connecting community members with the university’s graduate, professional development and lifelong learning programs. She partnered with James City County to create the Emerging Leaders Academy in 2019, focusing on public service. Away from work, she is a Lead Virginia graduate and was the 2025 chair of the Portsmouth Museums Foundation’s Night at the Children’s Museum fundraiser, along with other civic volunteering.
KEY TO MY SUCCESS: A service-driven leadership philosophy grounded in Virginia Tech’s motto, Ut Prosim, “That I may serve.” This guiding light shapes how I approach every role, relationship and decision, and it was instilled in me at a young age by my parents. It drives me to lead with purpose, humility and a focus on creating value for others.
SOMETHING SURPRISING ABOUT ME: I was part of a clogging dance group growing up. I’ve been known to break out my clogging skills on the dance floor at a few weddings.
