FIRST JOB: Waitressing. I also worked as a house painter and did light carpentry during the summers from college through graduate school.
ADVICE FOR NEW COLLEGE GRADS: Embrace the instability.
ON INTEGRATING AI: At W&M, we use AI as a tool to expand the capacity of our hard-working faculty and staff. One great example is that we launched a virtual engagement officer to expand the ways we connect with alumni and friends.
HOW I DEFINE SUCCESS: We like to say at W&M that when they zig, we zag. We define the metrics that we value most and then create as much separation from the field as we can.
FAVORITE SPORTS TEAM: All William & Mary teams, of course. How about that William & Mary women’s basketball team — 2025 CAA champions and first-in-institution-history to go to the NCAA tournament!
DID YOU KNOW? Rowe is a member of the Virginia American Revolution 250 Commission that planned statewide Semiquincentennial celebrations this year and is a past president of the Shakespeare Association of America.
