INTERESTING PLACE I’VE TRAVELED: South Korea. I was stationed there for three years while serving in the Army in the 1990s. Living there was a unique and eye-opening experience.
ADVICE FOR NEW COLLEGE GRADS: Prioritize relationships. Your education doesn’t end with graduation, it’s just beginning and will continue forever. That’s why it’s called commencement.
ON INTEGRATING AI: Don’t be afraid of it. Instead of asking what to do about AI, ask what you can do with it. That perspective opens possibilities.
HOW I DEFINE SUCCESS: Being able to meaningfully help others and being someone people rely upon. Success is inextricably intertwined with reliability.
DID YOU KNOW? White’s first job was as a screenwriter for MTV, writing public service announcements. He had done a speech competition on the Constitution, and since he was a preacher’s kid, said he “knew how to turn a phrase.” Someone from MTV heard him speak about voting rights and brought him in.
