Northrop Grumman wins up to $697M Navy basic ordering agreement

Falls Church government contractor to support Marine Corps radar systems

Falls Church-based defense contractor Northrop Grumman on Tuesday received a basic ordering agreement worth up to $697 million to provide engineering and logistics services supporting expeditionary radar systems.

The Federal Acquisition Regulation defines a basic ordering agreement as a framework for future orders when requirements are not yet known.

Through the agreement, Northrop Grumman will provide engineering, logistics and software support, as well as studies and analyses, for the Marine Corps’ Program Manager Expeditionary Radars, which oversees the development, fielding and sustainment of mobile radar systems designed for rapid deployment.

According to the , work locations will be determined by individual task orders, with work expected to be complete by May 14, 2031.

Marine Corps Systems Command in Quantico is the contracting activity. Funding will be obligated as orders are issued.

Last week, the DOD announced Northrop Grumman won three defense contracts totaling more than $900 million.

Northrop Grumman was No. 380 on the 2025 Global Fortune 500 list based on its fiscal 2024 revenue of $41 billion. The company reported $41.95 billion in 2025 revenue and has about 100,000 employees.
