Leidos wins $75M contract to support cloud-based HR system

The Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness awarded Reston-based Fortune 500 federal contractor Leidos Holdings Inc. a $75 million contract to provide services and support for the Defense Civilian Human Resource Management System (DCHRMS), the company announced Thursday.

Leidos will provide technical services and support for the cloud-based human resources system that serves as a single employee database for the Department of Defense, according to the Defense Civilian Personnel Advisory Service. Under the contract, Leidos will integrate six different databases into one to make DCHRMS more flexible in sharing information between components, according to the company.

“By leveraging this technology, the speed and efficiency of DCHRMS will increase, while lowering costs,” Dan Voce, Leidos senior vice president of enterprise cyber and solutions, said in a statement. “These benefits flow down to the people who rely on this system each and every day – the DoD HR professionals and managers, as well as the civilian employees they service.”

The contract includes a one-year base period with four additional one-year option periods. Work on the contract will be performed primarily in San Antonio, Texas.

With annual revenues of $11.09 billion last year and 37,000 employees, Leidos specializes in technology and engineering services for defense agencies.
