Reston-based Leidos Holdings Inc., a Fortune 500 government contractor, won a $270 million contract with NASA, according to the space agency.
Leidos will provide program, science, engineering, operations and project management support at NASA’s Ames Research Center in California’s Silicon Valley. Work under the contract will include biosciences flight development projects, collaborative science programs, aeronautics research projects and support for various Ames offices.
It is a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract, consisting of core requirements and indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity task orders. The work has a start date of Sept. 1 and NASA has a 60-day phase-in period, two-year base period and three one-year-options to extend the contract.
Earlier this month, Leidos won a $600 million contract with the U.S. Army.
Leidos employs 40,000 people and reported $12.3 billion in revenue for the fiscal year that ended Jan. 1.
