ID Logistics to invest $83M, create 1,000 jobs in Henrico

French company's U.S. arm to establish HazMat distribution site as first Virginia location

The U.S. arm of ID expects to invest $83 million and create 1,000 jobs at its first Virginia location, a hazardous materials in , the Authority announced Wednesday.

The company is leasing the I-895 Logistics Center, a 582,000-square-foot distribution facility developed by Ashley Capital at 7011 S. Laburnum Ave. The company has filed several permits with the county, including building, mechanical and electrical permits.

The site will handle hazardous materials, supporting the storage and distribution of regulated retail and direct-to-consumer products, according to a company news release. expects to use the site to serve high-demand retail and direct-to-consumer household essentials, like cleaning and beauty products.

“ID Logistics is very pleased to be opening our newest facility in Henrico. … I look forward to partnering with local leadership and your community as a whole to bring fantastic local talent into the ID Logistics family,” Franck Bouny, deputy chief operations officer for ID Logistics US, said in a statement.

ID Logistics Director of Operations Omar Bin Ferdous and Vice President of Operations Jonathan Jackson will lead the site. The company has listed multiple job postings in Henrico on its careers site, including managers of office, operations, safety, maintenance and training positions.

Counting the Henrico facility, ID Logistics US has 56 sites across 20 states. The Virginia location is its third HazMat-focused facility.

“With this new location, we are continuing to invest in the capabilities required to support highly regulated and complex supply chains,” Sherrie Miller, chief strategy officer for ID Logistics US, said in a statement. “HazMat operations demand a deep understanding of the intricacies involved to ensure safety, compliance and operational excellence every second of every day.

“Our ability to rapidly stand up large-scale, technologically advanced sites and partner closely with our customers to meet their evolving needs,” she continued, “is what positions ID Logistics to support their growth in new markets like Virginia.”

ID Logistics did not immediately respond to a request for additional information.

“We are thrilled to welcome ID Logistics to Henrico as they establish their first presence in the commonwealth of Virginia,” said Executive Director Cari Tretina. “While no local incentives were offered to attract the company’s significant investment, our team is fully committed to supporting their success as they operate in our community.”

ID Logistics US is part of French contract logistics group ID Logistics, which manages nearly 450 sites in 19 countries. Founded in 2001, the global company has 55,000 employees and reported 2025 revenues of 3.7 billion euros — approximately $4.2 billion as of Thursday. It has customers in the distribution, e-commerce, consumer goods, and cosmetics and fashion sectors.
