The Virginia Biotechnology Association (Virginia Bio), a Richmond-based trade association representing 230 member organizations in the life sciences industry, has elected six new directors, expanding its board from 24 to 30 directors.
Joining the board are:

- Gerry Brunk, managing director of Lumina Ventures, based in Boston, but involved in many life sciences organizations in Virginia and the Southeast;
- Jessica Foley, Washington, D.C.-based chief scientific officer for the nonprofit Focused Ultrasound Foundation, which is headquartered in Charlottesville;
- Craig Gill, Washington, D.C.-based director of U.S. government relations at Pfizer Inc.;
- Nikki Hastings, Charlottesville-based co-founder and managing partner of QDS Capital;
- Conaway Haskins, vice president of entrepreneurial ecosystem at the Virginia Innovation Partnership Corp., based in Richmond; and
- Gary Warren, president and CEO of Newport News-based medical device company ivWatch LLC
The six directors will serve three-year terms, beginning in April 2022.
Virginia Bio’s mission is to promote innovation and growth through strengthened networks, advocacy, capital investment, talent attraction, development and retention and advancing the next generation of leaders.
