A Texas-based firm is setting up shop in Hampton Roads. Atomized Products Group Inc. (APG) will create 26 jobs and invest $4.3 million to establish an operation in Chesapeake.
APG manufactures, markets and distributes metal powders and TEXEX® brand battery expanders. The company will produce negative battery plate expanders for lead acid battery manufacturers in Chesapeake.
A $100,000 grant from the Governor’s Opportunity Fund was approved for the project. The company’s recruitment, training, and retraining activities will be supported through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program. Virginia competed against Texas for the project.
