When global professional services corporation Forvis Mazars needed someone to lead its Virginia practice in 2023, Wold made the move from Kansas to Richmond. As managing partner, she oversees the firm’s Richmond and Norfolk offices, guiding more than 100 professionals.
Wold brings about 30 years of audit and accounting experience to the role, with expertise in mergers and acquisitions, purchase accounting and technical accounting developed during her tenure at Grant Thornton and BKD CPAs & Advisors. Forbes named her to its inaugural America’s Top 200 CPAs list in 2024 and recognized her among its Best-in-State CPAs in 2025. She also was a member of Lead Virginia’s 2025 class.
A champion of talent development, Wold has been instrumental in the firm’s Protégé Program, whose first participant earned a partner promotion within a year of completion. “I believe the most successful organizations are built by empowering people at every level to lead, contribute ideas and grow their skills,” she says. Wold also serves on the boards of the Virginia Chamber of Commerce and the MCV Foundation.
