PRESIDENT AND CHIEF EXPERIENCE OFFICER, TOWNEBANK, SUFFOLK
Glynn was among the group of bankers who worked together to launch TowneBank in the late 1990s. More than a quarter-century later, she remains at the bank, now with more than 70 offices in Hampton Roads, Central Virginia and the Carolinas.
During her tenure, Glynn built the bank’s private banking team from two people to more than 30. One of the most profitable lines of business at TowneBank, private banking provides financial advisers to professionals around the clock. She also established and chairs the New Initiative Committee, which prioritizes and approves new business ideas across the company. Three years ago, Glynn started Towne Halls, employee feedback sessions that have increased engagement. She also created the Member Experience Star program, which recognizes employees who deliver exceptional service.
In her current position, Glynn has executive oversight of human resources, marketing, private banking, retail banking, product development and process improvement.
Outside of work, Glynn sits on the board of the United Way of South Hampton Roads Foundation. She is also a trustee emeritus of the EVMS Foundation.
