Glen Allen-based real estate firm Weinstein Properties purchased a 373-unit apartment complex in Goochland County from Capital Square for $115 million last week.
County property records show Weinstein closed the deal to buy the complex, 2000 West Creek, on June 16. The roughly 23-acre property is located at 2000 Broad Branch Circle and features nearly 400,000 square feet of space. Just west of the Henrico County line, the property is near Hardywood Park Craft Brewery’s West Creek location and Capital One’s Goochland campus.
Glen Allen-based Capital Square bought the property in 2019 from its developer, Tennessee-based Bristol Development Group, for $103 million. At the time, Capital Square founder and Co-CEO Louis Rogers described it as a “high-class” multifamily community that benefited from the area’s projected rent growth, a lack of new multifamily supply in Richmond and a strong nearby employment base.
The apartment complex was built in 2018. Today, the floor plans range from about 600 square feet to more than 1,760 square feet. Amenities include fitness and wellness spaces, a swimming pool, a dog park, a clubhouse and a coworking lounge.
Neither Weinstein Properties nor Capital Square immediately returned requests for comment Friday.
Last week’s sale wasn’t the only recent Goochland County purchase by Weinstein. In February 2025, the company purchased the 335-unit The Collective at West Creek for $102.1 million, and the property was immediately rebranded Bexley West Creek under its new owner.
Founded in 1952 by Marcus M. Weinstein, the Weinstein Properties company owns and manages more than 21,000 apartment homes and employs more than 700 people across five states.
