The Hilb Group has acquired Massachusetts-based Mid-State Insurance Agency Inc.
The deal, which was effective on Sept. 1, is the 37th acquisition made by the Henrico County insurance broker since its founding in 2009.
Mid-State provides a wide range of property and casualty insurance and employee benefits products to businesses and individuals throughout New England. Mid-State specializes in developing risk management and insurance programs for automobile dealerships.
Following the transaction, Mid-State employees, including managing partners, Jim Pietro and Paul Pietro, joined The Hilb Group while continuing to operatetheir offices in Worcester and Taunton.
