Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer just landed a plum assignment. The Richmond-based firm will be the sole provider of real estate services for StellarOne Bank, a rapidly expanding bank in Virginia.
According to Richmond-based Thalhimer, the firm will provide real estate services to existing and new facilities across StellarOne Bank’s organization and serve as the primary provider of services in the special assets arena.
The engagement includes not only representation of the bank in real estate transactions but also assistance in developing and implementing the bank’s strategic real estate plan.
The $2.9 billion bank, whose operational headquarters is located in Christiansburg and whose holding company operates out of Charlottesville, has more than 50 locations across the state.
During the past couple of years, the bank has been expanding in the Richmond region where it now has three branch locations. Richmond also is home to the bank’s wealth management division.
StellarOne was formed in 2007 through the merger of Virginia Financial Group and the parent of First National Bank of Harrisonburg.
Kent Roberts, of Thalhimer’s Roanoke office is the lead team member on the assignment and point of contact with StellarOne. Key team members include Eric B. Robison, Austin H. Newman, and Curtis M.
