Reston-based Science Applications International Corp. on Wednesday announced the appointment of Donna Morea as chairwoman of its board of directors.
Morea has been a director of SAIC since 2013. She was formerly the president of CGI Technology and Solutions Inc. from 2004 to 2011, when Morea retired. Morea is currently an independent director of SunTrust Banks and a trustee of the Inova Health System.
Morea succeeds Edward “Sandy” Sanderson, Jr., who has been chairman of the board since SAIC separated from its parent company in 2013. Morea’s appointment will go into effect after the closing of SAIC’s planned acquisition of Engility Holdings Inc. in January. Sanderson will continue on as an independent member of the board.
