Metro Diner, a comfort food restaurant, will open in Richmond on April 18.
The 3,500-square-foot diner is located at 5626 W. Broad St. in the Libbie Place Shopping Center. It expects to hire 100 people.
Based in Jacksonville, Fla., Metro Diner got its start in 1992 and currently operates more than 20 locations across the U.S., with seven more restaurants coming soon, including the one at Libbie Place. The Richmond restaurant will be able to seat more than 100 people.
The diner’s signature dishes include fried chicken and waffles, Charleston shrimp and grits and a meatloaf plate.
