Julie Pangelinan named Geeknet’s chief financial officer

Fairfax-based Geeknet Inc. announced Friday that Julie Pangelinan has been named chief financial officer. Pangelinan has been CFO of Northern Virginia-based Interstate Hotels and Resorts Inc. and Sunrise Senior Living Inc.

Before being employed by Sunrise, Pangelinan worked for Marriott International Inc., as vice president, accounting policy.

Geeknet is the parent company of ThinkGeek.com, an online retailer for technology professionals and enthusiasts.
