Groundworks promotes two execs to C-suite

Virginia Beach-based Groundworks has promoted two employees, including one to chief sales officer and another as chief revenue officer, the foundation and water management solutions company announced Thursday.

Ben Flowers has been promoted from vice president of Groundworks’ southern division to chief sales officer, a new role for the company. Flowers will lead its sales force. In his previous role, he managed leadership development and growth for multiple Groundworks brands, including AFS Foundation and Waterproofing Specialists, Alpha Foundations and DryPro Foundation and Crawl Space Specialists.

Groundworks has promoted Jeffrey Martin from vice president of its west division to chief revenue officer. As vice president of the west division, Martin oversaw Groundworks in Colorado and in Omaha, Nebraska, as well as multiple brands including Foundation Recovery Systems, Innovative Basement Authority and Foundation Systems of Michigan.

“While Groundworks continues to evolve our industry, we too must continue to evolve,” Groundworks founder and CEO Matt Malone said in a statement. “Establishing pure sales and production leaders overseeing our billion-dollar business was a must for a company of our size and scale.”

Founded in 2016, Groundworks’ brands have 55 offices providing service across 34 states. The company has made the Inc. 5000, a list of the fastest growing private companies, for seven consecutive years. Malone was named an EY Mid-Atlantic Entrepreneur of the Year for 2023 in June.
