East Coast Appliance bought Midlothian Turnpike property

A 15,600-square-foot commercial building in Midlothian sold for $2.4 million, Glen Allen-based commercial real estate consulting and brokerage firm Taylor Long Properties announced last week.
Located at 11000 Midlothian Turnpike in North Chesterfield, 11000 Midlothian Turnpike LLC purchased the building from The Salvation Army. The buyer was in effect East Coast Appliance (a Virginia-based appliance retailer) says Senior Vice President Brian Glass, who represented the seller in the transaction.
Vacant at the time of the purchase, the building was previously a Salvation Army thrift store owned by the Salvation Army, says Glass.
The property was last sold in 2008 and was assessed at $526,300 this year, according to Chesterfield County property records. The building is located directly across from the Chesterfield Towne Center mall.
