McLean-based Fortune 500 government contractor Booz Allen Hamilton has won a $696.7 million U.S. Army contract to provide training support services for the Mission Command Training Program.
The Mission and Installation Contracting Command awarded the contract on Wednesday, according to a notice from SAM.gov. The performance work statement says the contract includes a one-year base period, followed by up to seven additional one-year option periods.
Headquartered in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, the MCTP supports the collective training of Army units as directed by the Army’s chief of staff and scheduled by Army Forces Command. It uses advanced simulations and trained teams that act as opposing forces to replicate real-world threats.
Under the contract, Booz Allen will provide technical services to support MCTP mission requirements. It will also provide staff with the qualifications necessary to operate computer-based simulations, models and automated tools used for the collection and analysis of information. The company will help operate simulation-based training at multiple Army exercise locations and must be ready to deploy teams and equipment to an additional site if needed.
The contract also requires Booz Allen to support risk-reduction events, command post exercises and contingency operations. The company must also create, update and sustain a training program for the existing and future simulations used by MCTP, and provide simulation training to the U.S. Department of Defense personnel participating in an exercise.
Booz Allen has more than 80 locations and over 33,000 employees worldwide. It plans to relocate its headquarters from McLean to Reston in 2027.
