Arlington-based EJF Capital LLC has tapped a former Kettler executive to lead its real estate investments.
Asheel Shah will join the firm Oct. 1 as senior managing director and head of real estate at the asset management firm. He was president and chief investment officer of the multifamily division of Kettler, a real estate company based in McLean.
As of Aug. 31, EJF manages about $6.9 billion in various hedge-fund and private-equity fund investments. Since its inception in 2005, EJF has focused on investments in the financial sector, including real estate.
