A veteran in the region’s ship repair industry, Miller is spearheading the $100 million development of Fairwinds Landing, a maritime operations and logistics hub supporting Hampton Roads’ offshore wind, defense and transportation industries.

The 111-acre project at Norfolk Southern Corp.’s Lambert’s Points Docks in Norfolk across from Portsmouth Marine Terminal is a joint venture between The Miller Group, Balicore Construction and Fairlead Integrated. In late June, developers broke ground on the Monitoring and Coordination Center (MCC), which will be used by Fortune 500 utility Dominion Energy as a hub for its $9.8 billion offshore wind farm under development off the coast of Virginia Beach.

Miller currently serves as vice chair on the U.S. Naval Academy Foundation board, as well as several corporate boards, including Virginia Beach-based DroneUp.
