In 2021, NVAR celebrated its 100-year anniversary and earned the 2021 Diamond Council Global Award from the National Association of Realtors for being among the most active associations in global business.
With 34 employees in Virginia and revenue of $8.25 million in 2021, NVAR is one of the largest regional Realtors’ associations in the United States.
McLaughlin took leadership of NVAR in 2015 after working as CEO of Greater Lehigh Valley Realtors in Pennsylvania. McLaughlin also chairs the National Association of Realtors’ Association Executives Forum.
EDUCATION: State University of New York at Albany (master’s degree in political science); East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (bachelor’s degree)
HOBBY/PASSION: Guitar, following Formula 1 racing and running
PERSON I ADMIRE: My grandfather, Thomas McLaughlin. He taught me the importance of having faith in God, working hard, being a leader and a good father and loving America.
