An investor and entrepreneur, Ein has created, acquired, invested in and built companies across a diverse set of industries. Founded in 1972, Kastle is a provider of building and office security systems.
The company may be most recognized lately for the regular reports it releases tracking how many companies have returned to in-person work. At the end of May, Kastle reported a 10-city average of 42.9% of office occupancy and suggested it could be “the new normal for businesses nationwide.”
In addition to serving as chairman of Kastle Systems, Ein is CEO of Venturehouse Group LLC, a technology holding company that creates, invests in and builds technology and telecommunications companies. He’s also the founder and owner of the Washington Kastles, a World TeamTennis franchise.
Ein is also co-chairman of the board for Lindblad Expeditions, a global provider of luxury adventure cruises and expeditions that went public in 2015 via a SPAC merger. Before joining Kastle, Ein worked for The Carlyle Group, Brentwood Associates and Goldman Sachs.
A University of Pennsylvania and Harvard Business School graduate, Ein serves on the boards of the DC Public Education Fund, the District of Columbia College Access Program and the D.C. Policy Center.
