Charlotte, N.C.-based Areva Inc. has named Craig Ranson chief operating officer. Ranson will be based out of Areva’s Operational Center of Excellence for Nuclear Products and Services in Lynchburg.
Ranson has been with Areva since 2001. He was most recently vice president of component repair and replacement for Areva Inc. Ranson has held various roles at Areva including vice president of non-destructive examination (NDE) solutions and managing roles in NDE operations and engineering.
AREVA provides power generation solutions in North America and all over the world. It employs nearly 5,000 people in the U.S. and Canada.
