Hair Cuttery, the largest family-owned and operated chain of hair salons in the country, said it invested $3.5 million in its 99 Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia area salons in 2015. According to the Vienna-based company, the salon updates were completed in August and included both full and partial remodels.
Twenty-three salons were completely remodeled and 76 received a cosmetic refresh, five of which are among Hair Cuttery’s top earning locations. The salon remodels included a neutral color scheme, new lighting and flooring and updated stylist and shampoo stations.
“The project was a huge success and directly impacts more than 2,000 stylists,” Loretta Feaster, Hair Cuttery metro regional leader, said in a statement.
To support the revitalization, Hair Cuttery rolled out a marketing effort, which continues through Oct. 31. It includes a $16 shampoo and cut offer on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Hair Cuttery has nearly 900 company-owned locations on the East Coast, in New England and the Midwest.
