The Williamsburg Tourism Council has named Vicki Cimino its executive director and CEO after a five-month search.
Cimino will begin her duties with the tourism group on April 15. The council is part of the Greater Williamsburg Chamber and Tourism Alliance.
Cimino currently is director of the New Hampshire Division of Travel and Tourism Development.
During her three-year tenure, the division has increased direct visitor spending by 4 percent while rooms and meal tax revenue has risen 15 percent.
Cimino will lead a staff of eight while managing an annual marketing and sales budget of approximately of $9 million to $12 million generated by revenue from a sales tax approved by the Virginia General Assembly beginning July 2018.
