Living Legends 2023: LOLA C. REINSCH 

In October, ArtsFairfax will present its philanthropy award to Reinsch, a major donor to arts, health care and educational institutions in Arlington and Fairfax counties. She also was inducted into the Arlington Chamber’s Business Hall of Fame in May, joining her late father, Emerson Reinsch, who founded the real estate development and property management firm she now leads.

The Reinsch family has been particularly generous to Arlington’s Marymount University, including the Reinsch Pierce Family Foundation’s $2.8 million donation to create a campus hub. It will include Lola’s Café, named for Reinsch. She also made a $5 million gift in 2021 to Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, where her children and grandson were born. In July, the Inova Reinsch Pierce Cardiomyopathy Program opened at the health system’s Inova Schar Heart and Vascular Institute in Fairfax, two years after Reinsch had a heart condition treated at Inova.  

Reinsch serves as a trustee for Marymount University and the Inova Health Foundation. Her support of the local arts community includes the Virginia Chamber Orchestra, the Arlington Philharmonic and the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts.
