Roanoke-based Advance Auto Parts Inc. will hold a ribbon-cutting Wednesday on its 4,000th store, located in Montgomery, N.Y.

Advance has added more than 3,000 stores through new store openings and strategic acquisitions since 1995. The company operates in 39 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. It has more than 54,000 employees.

The new store in Montgomery, N.Y., began operation on Friday.
