Charlottesville-based Commonwealth Assisted Living has acquired Heritage Commons in Williamsburg, its 22nd senior living community in Virginia.

Heritage Commons is an independent living community located at 236 Commons Way in Williamsburg.

Built in 2009, Heritage Commons has 100 senior apartments. Its amenities include a fitness center, club room, multiple lounges, 24-hour on-site concierge service, bi-weekly housekeeping and linen service, an on-site hair salon, daily activities, scheduled transportation, continental breakfasts and chef-prepared dinners.

Commonwealth plans to expand Heritage Commons’ services to include assisted living and memory care. Significant renovations at the community also are planned.

Heritage Commons is Commonwealth’s first community in Williamsburg. The company expects to make additional acquisitions this year.
