Construction is beginning on a 25-story speculative office tower in Tysons.
The 383,628-square-foot building, to be called Tysons Central, is being developed by the Potomac, Maryland, real estate investment firm Foulger-Pratt and San Antonio-based USAA Real Estate.
Completion of the $200 million building is expected in 2021. It will be located near the Greensboro Metro Station and The Boro, a 15-acre mixed-use development.
The developers said the building will feature 9-foot ceilings and column-free floors ranging from 26,000 to 29,000 square feet.
Plans also call for a two-story lobby and terrace and approximately 19,000 rentable square feet of retail space. The building also is expected to feature a fitness center and electric-car charging stations.
The Tysons office of the commercial real estate firm Avison Young has been retained to handle leasing.
