One of the nation’s largest greenhouse growers has acquired a Virginia nursery.

Elkridge, Md.-based Bell Nursery has acquired Blue Ridge Growers’ 110 acres in Stevensburg and 150 acres of Bentwood Farms in North Carolina.  Bell supplies The Home Depot in seven states and the District of Columbia.

Blue Ridge Growers will grow annuals, perennials, mums and poinsettias for Home Depots. According to Bell, the acquisition of Blue Ridge Growers will allow it to expand in-house production and provide future growth.
