The board of directors of Virginia Health Information, a Richmond-based nonprofit health data organization, has named new officers and executive committee members.
Dr. Ibe Mbanu of Bon Secours Virginia is now president, succeeding Kay W. Lewis of Kaiser Permanente. Lewis will remain on the six-member executive committee as past president and a health insurance representative.
New executive committee members include Beth Bortz of Virginia Center for Health Innovation, Charles “Rusty” Maney of Walgreens and David W. Tucker of Commonwealth Care of Roanoke. Bortz will serve as secretary, Maney will be president-elect and Tucker will serve as treasurer.
Timothy McManus of Hospital Corporation of America, the former treasurer, is now vice president.
Michael T. Lundberg is executive director of VHI.
The executive committee members are a reflection of six of the seven stakeholder groups from which VHI draws information: businesses, consumers, hospitals, health insurance companies, physicians and nursing facilities.
VHI publishes reports and consumer guides on health insurance, hospitals, HMOs, nursing facilities, physicians and other topics at www.vhi.org.
