Virginia is in the bottom third of states using money available for small business loans, according to a report by WAMU 88.5.
The radio station reports that numbers show Virginia has used only about one-third of money allocated under the State Small Business Credit Initiative.
Scott Parsons, the executive director of the Virginia Small Business Financing Authority, told WAMU that sequestration could be having an effect.
