Virginia Early Childhood Foundation elects new chairman

Reginald “Reggie” Jones, a partner at Williams Mullen in Richmond, has been elected chairman of the board of the Virginia Early Childhood Foundation (VECF).

Jones succeeds Ben Davenport, chairman of Davenport Energy and First Piedmont Corp. in Chatham, had been chairman since 2013.

The Virginia Early Childhood Foundation is a public-private partnership established 10 years ago to advance school readiness initiatives and early learning efforts across
the commonwealth.

Jones was a founding member of the VECF’s board of directors and has served since 2006.
