The U.S. Air Force awarded Vienna-based Trace Systems a $77.6 million task order to work on the branch’s network and data sharing environment for military and mission partners, the defense contractor announced Friday.

Under the contract, Trace Systems will engineer an information technology network and applications, develop software and provide technical services for the SABRE mission enclave in support of the Department of Defense’s Mission Partner Environment, according to the company.

The company will work on the Mission Partner Environment – Services (MPE-S) IDIQ contract through the Air Force’s Mission Partner Capabilities Office (MPCO). The MPE-S allows the Defense Department to more quickly address security challenges, including military and stability operations and counter-insurgency missions, as well as disaster and humanitarian contingencies.

“This task order is key to the advancement of the DoD vision and MPCO’s strategy for the Mission Partner Environment,” Sandra Jamshidi, Trace Systems’ senior program manager for coalition interoperability and information sharing, said in a statement. “We look forward to collaborating with the government to meet the challenges and complexities inherently involved with consolidations, especially within the MPE.”

Trace Systems in September 2019 was awarded a $998 million contract to help build, implement and manage the MPE infrastructure with the Defense Information Systems Agency. Founded in 2006, the company provides cybersecurity and IT services to the DoD.
