There are now 2,407 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Virginia in Saturday’s Virginia Department of Health update, an increase of 395 cases since Friday’s update. Fifty-two people statewide have died from the virus, 390 are hospitalized, and the number tested is now 21,552.

Late Friday, the Hampton Health Department announced the first coronavirus-related death of a Hampton resident.  The resident was a man in his 60s with underlying health conditions, and this appears to be a case of community spread, according to officials.
