Virginia Beach-based real estate investment company Croatan Investments announced Monday that Eric Smith will serve as its new managing principal and chief investment officer.
Smith was most recently the chief operating officer and CIO at Armada Hoffler Properties, also in Virginia Beach.
During his career, he’s worked with multifamily, retail, office, mixed-use and hospitality clients. Before working in real estate, Smith worked in management consulting, international corporate finance and investment advisory.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Connecticut and his master’s degree in business administration from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Croatan Investments specializes in multifamily real estate and also has offices in Atlanta, Austin, Dallas, New York City, Washington D.C. and Singapore.
