The University of Richmond has named David B. Hale vice president for business and finance and treasurer, effective July 29. He is currently vice president for finance and administration and treasurer at Hamilton, N.Y.-based Colgate University. Hale succeeds Hossein Sadid, who has served in the position since 2009.
At Richmond, Hale will lead a division of more than 500 people and have oversight of the university’s $235 million annual operating budget and financial operations. Other key areas in which he will play a role include facilities, human resources, dining services, sustainability and campus police.
