Two new tenants are coming to North End Center, a 227,000-square-foot mixed-use project in Blacksburg. VelocityCare, a Carilion Clinic urgent care facility, will lease 9,503 square feet, and Five Guys restaurant will occupy 2,748 square feet.
Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer announced the new tenants Thursday. It said in a news release that Velocity Care plans to come to North End in
spring 2014 to provide walk-in medical services for nonlife threatening illnesses and injuries. The new clinic is intended to help bridge the gap between primary care and the emergency room in the community, and will be open with extended hours and no appointments necessary. Carilion Clinic orthopaedic services also will be provided at the North End location.
Five Guys Burgers and Fries plans to open in the first quarter of 2014.
North End, formerly known as Collegiate Square and the Turner Street Project, is located at the intersections of Prices Fork Road and Gilbert & Turner Streets. It offers retail, restaurant and office space.
