In November 2021, Gov. Ralph Northam visited InterChange Group Inc. to announce that Nature’s Touch Frozen Foods was expanding into a new 126,000-square-foot building from its current spot within the third-party logistics firm’s warehousing.
Originally slated to open in April for around $25 million, the planned warehouse has fallen behind schedule and gone over budget due to supply chain issues and inflation. It’s now on track to open by December at a cost of about $30 million, Anders says.
A certified public accountant, Anders has led InterChange for more than two decades. One of Anders’ clients was a packaging firm whose owners became his partners as they launched their new endeavor, which has grown to a building portfolio of about 2 million square feet.
Anders is a member of the GO Virginia Region 8 Council, covering the northern Shenandoah Valley. He’s also a member of the Virginia Freight Advisory Committee and sits on the board of the Virginia Maritime Association.
Anders is passionate about growing leadership within InterChange, and that extends to his personal life. A member of the Mennonite faith, Anders has mentored other men on accountability and spirituality, including through prison mentorships in pre-COVID times.
