TORC Robotics Inc. plans to expand its corporate headquarters in Montgomery County. The company will undergo a $200,000 interior expansion at its current facility in the Blacksburg Industrial Park. TORC expects to create 20 new jobs as a result of the project.
Founded in 2006, TORC is involved in unmanned systems, vehicle automation and robotics.
Montgomery County worked with the Town of Blacksburg and the Virginia Small Business Financing Authority to support the project. Through a lease agreement with TORC, the Economic Development Authority of Montgomery County will convert about 3,000 square feet of warehouse space to office space to support the company’s growing workforce.
TORC now leases 20,700 square feet in its facility in the Blacksburg Industrial Park.
