TNS Inc. announced Friday that it has been acquired by investor group Siris Capital Group LLC for $862 million.
Siris announced in December that it had agreed to acquire TNS for $21 per share in cash.
The transaction closed after approval from TNS stockholders and the receipt required regulatory approvals.
“The completion of this acquisition marks an important milestone for TNS, and I’m confident that the future of the company is stronger than ever,” TNS CEO Henry H. Graham Jr., said in statement. “Through this acquisition, TNS is even better positioned for growth as the company continues to transition its business model toward value-added data communication applications.”
Reston-based TNS provides data communications and interoperability solutions.
