Three Virginia companies are among the five selected for the spring class at the Mach37 cybersecurity accelerator in Herndon.
The Virginia companies are Axon Ghost Sentinel, based in Harrisonburg, and Disrupt6 and IDentia, both based in Herndon.
The other two companies in the class are Florida-based CardKill and California-based based Fast Orientation.
Mach37 was created by the Center for Innovative Technology to accelerate the development of information security product companies.
The intensive 90-day program helps entrepreneurs validate their ideas, technologies and markets, and ultimately launch their companies.
Upon acceptance into the program, companies receive a cash investment to complement program participation in exchange for a small amount of equity.
After completion, the CIT GAP Funds will match up to $100,000 for companies based in Virginia.
The first class entered the program last fall.
