Bedding company Tempur Sealy International plans to invest $13.3 million to improve its manufacturing operation in Scott County, creating 42 new jobs.
Tempur Sealy has a 500,000-square-foot facility in the Duffield Industrial Park that manufactures mattresses and pillows.
Virginia competed against New Mexico for the project.
Gov. Bob McDonnell approved a $150,000 from the Governor’s Opportunity Fund to help with the project and the Virginia Tobacco Indemnification and Community Revitalization Commission approved $182,000 in Tobacco Region Opportunity Funds.
